Consumer mindsets are driving the automotive market

These insights – including the stats behind the headline above – are drawn from our new study into the automotive industry, delving into the passions, motivations and mindsets that lead consumers to purchase a car.

We showcased our findings at an exclusive automotive breakfast briefing on Monday morning to a room packed with manufacturers, agencies, influencers and press. After a presentation from our Chief Data Scientist, Clive Humby, attendees had the chance to question a panel of experts including automotive consultant Patrick Hoy and Motoring Presenter Nicki Shields. Representatives from brands and agencies including McLaren and BBH  quizzed our panel on everything from dealerships to black box technology, as Edwina Dunn led a lively discussion on the future of the automotive industry.
